About this pastoral study project

The soul of America can still be saved—if we first care for the souls of its movement builders. This project centers the belief that sustainable social transformation depends on the spiritual and emotional well-being of those leading the charge, especially young Black adults. Historically, emerging generations have fueled the most transformative movements. Yet today, many are navigating burnout, disillusionment, and despair.
Through Soul Circles, this cohort based initiative equips and sustains modern-day disciples who live out the gospel in the face of injustice. These intentional gatherings will center restorative justice, collective spiritual reflection, and holistic resources to nurture the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. By fostering spiritual accountability and joy-filled community, the project seeks to create lasting infrastructure for soul care within movement spaces.
This isn’t just about avoiding burnout—it’s about building something better. A church that embodies joy. A movement that’s resilient. A gospel that is lived, not just preached.
