“A public theology podcast exploring what it means to be Christian after you can no longer be Christian in the way you once were. ”
How to Be a Christian: Reimagining Belonging After Faith Shifts is a public theology podcast that explores what it means to be Christian after the beliefs and practices of one’s inherited tradition no longer fit. Rooted in my own post-evangelical journey and shaped by years of ministry and spiritual accompaniment, this project investigates how people across denominational lines are reconstructing faith, reimagining ecclesiology, and rediscovering belonging. Through 10–12 recorded interviews with diverse Christian leaders and laypeople—from Episcopal to Pentecostal, Mennonite to Adventist—listeners will encounter real stories, theological reflection, and practical insight.
This project is both pastoral and prophetic: it meets the spiritually displaced with compassion while casting vision for a Church that is more expansive, inclusive, and rooted in community. The podcast will be supported by reflection guides and a series of essays that extend its reach into congregational settings, spiritual formation circles, and academic conversations. I bring a decade of experience bridging mainline and post-evangelical contexts, and I believe this project offers a timely and hopeful witness for those seeking to rebuild a life of faith from the rubble of certainty.
