“This project calls the Church to a path of true renewal through the hard yet holy work of atonement by repenting for its complicity in injustice, repairing what has been broken, and reclaiming its witness as a healing presence in a hurting world. ”
This project will explore how the Christian Church can (and must) renew itself through honest repentance, theological reckoning, and restorative and reparative actions. It will examine the biblical and theological foundations of atonement, critiques harmful atonement theories, and proposes a pathway forward rooted in justice, confession, and restorative grace.
