Rev. Angel Douglas-Crawford serves as the Grant Program Manager for the Pastoral Study Project and the First Book Grant for Scholars at The Louisville Institute, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight for grant-funded initiatives that support scholars in their vocational, academic, and ministerial development. In this role, she is deeply engaged in advancing programs that intentionally bridge the gap between the church and the academy, strengthening the relationship between faith-based leadership and scholarly engagement.

Angel brings over five years of specialized experience in grant administration, including grant writing, budgeting and fiscal oversight, compliance, reporting, and program evaluation, along with more than 25 years of broader professional experience in administrative leadership, case management, and counseling. Her work is grounded in best practices in stewardship, accountability, and collaborative partnership building.

Ordained in the Baptist Church, Angel approaches her professional responsibilities as both a vocation and a calling. Her academic training in Criminal Justice and Psychology, combined with extensive experience in programming, outreach, and grant management, uniquely positions her to support scholars, strengthen institutional processes, and foster meaningful connections between theological education and lived ministry.

A passionate advocate for faith-informed leadership and community service, Angel is honored to contribute to the mission and vision of The Louisville Institute through her dedication to empowering scholars and supporting impactful, sustainable programming. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and spending quality time with family and friends.
