I am fortunate to now provide superintendence to 21 U.S. independent pastors ans congregations in 4 states after having served 20 years as senior pastor of 2 churches. The intense demands of leading these churches into organizational and structural integrity and towards authentic multiculturalism have left me spent due to the exacting nature of this work. I am beginning "again" because my presbytery role has recently expanded such that I can no longer give adequate superintendence AND serve my local congregation. Thus, I am seeking to receive the strength that God's affords during an intentional 12 week season of refreshing, renewal and refocusing to solely devote myself to the superintendence.

I anticipate experiencing the benefits of grace while investing some of the 90 days in participation at the Pastors Couples Retreat in California, at a Pastors Spiritual Retreat in Wisconsin and travel to the U.K. to interview pastoral leaders who are on the cutting edge of congregational multicultural diversity. The rest of the time will be spent reading, reflecting, journaling and in prayer. The pastors/congregations that I serve will directly benefit from my time of grace because I will pass on to them the renewed strength and fresh focus I have been graced to receive.
