I am a child of the church and the daughter of 2 parents, both Elders, who both served the church with vitality for over 35 years. My call to ministry occurred at 26 years of age. Twenty years later with 17 years of ministry I come depleted to this is the season of restoration. Over the past 17 years I have served in various capacities as pastor, teacher and spiritual mentor. Two years ago I lost my mother, now my father is critically ill.
I propose spending twelve weeks rediscovering the rhythms of life. I will be intentional about renewing and refocusing my call to ministry, and discerning my path and purpose as I move forward in vocational ministry.
During this time I would like to:
? Discover the work of Centering Prayer and engage the wisdom of Jesus through retreats and a support group for centering prayer with Cynthia Bourgeault through seminars, readings and webinars.
? Spend 11 days on a pilgrimage following the footsteps of Paul in Greece and Turkey.
? Be made whole again through re-centering, reconnecting with family and discerning more powerfully my higher calling.
