About this sabbatical grant for pastoral leaders discontinued

After 19 years of ministry as a vocation director, I would like to take a sabbatical in order to enter into contemplative stillness and be renewed spiritually.

I propose to take time out for the following:

- To go apart as Jesus did to rest, pray, reflect and be renewed spiritually, emotionally and physically
- To restore my physical well being through rest and care
- To enjoy solitude and nature in sacred places
- To take advantage of spiritual reading in the libraries
- To engage with monks, nuns and laity who are dedicated to the contemplative way

During my sabbatical, I hope to re-frame how to cultivate a contemplative way of being and worship into a digital lifestyle.

Women's spiritual growth entails going to the center. I would like to return to my initial vocational call to prayer by spending time in monasteries in the Southwest. This will also afford me with the opportunity to enjoy nature, catch up on spiritual reading and have the quality time with God that I so hunger for these frenetic days. With God's grace, I would return strengthened in my call and ministry, knowing that all I do must flow from being connected to the Vine.
