The pastoral study project focuses on God's purpose for blessing and hallowing the Sabbath in the Creation story and its benefits that transform the lives of humanity. For many reasons, the Christian church has neglected the Sabbath as a gift from God. The Christian spiritual formation in some rural churches has been neglected in the lives of the congregation, especially servant leaders and millennials.

Deterioration of the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health of Christians is rising in the many churches. For example, millennials view church as irrelevant and servant leaders lack vigor and spiritual insight. Consequently, the atmosphere is conducive to discover and resurrect the Sabbath and Sabbath practices in the Christian church.

The project comprises of a 6 Week Module that conveys three objectives 1) to provide an opportunity for the millennials and servant leaders to experience God 2) to provide the tools to practice Sabbath 3) to encourage individuals to continue to practice Sabbath. The 4 Week Module includes historical and modern of the Sabbath, Sabbath practices, interviews with Rabbis, Sabbath meals, spiritual journaling, and a Sabbath Retreat. The Sabbath experience will provide insight on how to remember and observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
