About this pastoral study project

How are people between the ages of 18-35 who do not participate in any religious tradition exploring, constructing, and enacting meaning in community? I believe that engaging with this cohort (including, in some cases, friends and members of our own families!) and learning about their spiritual insights, desires, and activities will provide a spectrum of awareness and a platform for action for the faith community, as both critique and blessing. I believe this is the most significant question facing the church in North America (N.A.) today and if, in fact, we do not assess meaning making among current young adults, there may not be a church, as we know it, in N.A. in the very near future.
