Aimee Moiso grew up in Portland, Oregon, and has degrees from Whitworth University (B.A.), San Francisco Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and the Bossey Ecumenical Institute. She received a PhD in religion from Vanderbilt University, focusing on preaching in situations of conflict. Prior to her doctoral studies, she served as campus minister and director of ecumenical and interfaith ministries at Santa Clara University. Both Aimee and her husband Nolan Huizenga are ordained ministers in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). In her spare time, Aimee enjoys baking, gardening, and the art of upcycling: finding new uses for old things.
